Biography
Sarah Young is an Associate Professor and First-Year Coordinator at the University of 猫咪社区官网 at Lafayette School of Architecture and Design. She is a proud Ragin Cajun alumna and has taught at UL Lafayette since 2012. Sarah teaches in the first-year design studios and DSGN 121: Survey of Design. In these courses, she seeks to introduce students of all majors to the transformative potential of design.
Her research investigates design pedagogy, the impostor phenomenon in design students, and writing as a tool of the design process. She is also an architect and partner at an award-winning local architecture firm, emerymcclure architecture. As a practitioner, Sarah participates in designing both built works and international speculative design competitions.
